Social Security Equality Act of 2012
Introduction and Press Conference
In 2010, we held Rock for Equality, a national event to demand equal Social Security benefits for America’s same-sex couples. Lawmakers took notice, and on April 26, 2012 at the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C., U.S. Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) will introduce legislation to end this discrimination! Join George Takei, Hal Sparks, and other special guests for this historic occasion! This event is open to the public.
Spread the word! Tag Rock for Equality in a post on your Facebook wall and tweet with #SSEquality on Twitter to @RockForEquality, letting everyone know you are supporting Social Security Equality and the bill’s introduction in Congress.
